About Ignite Africa

Built by Africans. For Africa's economic integration.

Ignite Africa exists to translate AfCFTA opportunities into practical enterprise, trade, and industrial outcomes by building the capabilities, partnerships, and coordination systems required for cross-border economic participation.

Our foundation

Mission and vision designed for implementation.

Our mission

To translate AfCFTA opportunities into practical enterprise, trade, and industrial outcomes by building the capabilities, networks, partnerships, and coordination systems required for cross-border economic participation across Africa.

Our vision

To help build an integrated, innovative, and industrially connected Africa driven by empowered enterprises, coordinated ecosystems, and inclusive regional trade.

Our story

Africa's opportunities will be unlocked by Africans, but only if the implementation layer exists.

Ignite Africa was born from a simple but urgent observation: AfCFTA is the world's largest free trade area by number of countries, covering 1.4 billion people, yet intra-African trade remains below 15%.

The agreement exists. The opportunity is real. What's missing is the operational infrastructure that helps enterprises understand trade opportunities, navigate market access, build value-chain relationships, and move from ambition to execution.

We didn't build a consulting firm. We built a continental coordination platform that helps turn political progress into enterprise activity, productive ecosystems, and measurable economic participation.
Why Ignite Africa exists

Today, Ignite Africa operates across Kenya, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, with a continental horizon anchored to Agenda 2063 and focused on the systems Africa needs to trade with itself at scale.

Operating principles

The values that shape how we build.

African ownership

We start from African realities, African institutions, and African enterprise ambition rather than imported abstractions.

Continental coordination

We design for cross-border execution, regional value chains, and the practical conditions that make AfCFTA work.

Operational seriousness

We care about export plans, partnerships, systems, and measurable outcomes, not performative strategy language.

Trusted collaboration

We convene entrepreneurs, institutions, and ecosystem actors around shared execution rather than isolated interventions.
